Wearing Engagement Ring in the left hand now becoming the most popular tradition. According to the ancient tradition believed to have been derived from the Romans, the wedding ring is worn on the left-hand ring finger because of ancient people thought and believes that there is a vein in the finger which is known as ‘Vena Amoris’ or the ‘Vein of Love’ is directly connected to the heart. But scientists prove this reason wrong.

By wearing the ring on the fourth finger of the left hand, a married couple symbolically declares their eternal love for each other and the ring is their bond between each other's hearts. This ring indicates the unconditional love for each other. Some people wear the engagement ring on the right-hand finger and some wear it in the index finger, this all depends upon the religion and region.

In many countries when the ring is worn in the left hand, after the death of the spouse many people put it in the right-hand finger. This symbolizes the unbreakable bond with the spouse.

So, Wearing an Engagement Ring Either in the Left Hand or in the right-hand does not specify the exact meaning. It all depends on the individual's thinking, tradition, region.
